About the final project for: Applied Color for 3D Design and Animation

Applied Color for 3D Design and Animation

“Now that you have finished the lessons, it’s time to work on your final project. The brief for the final project is to create your own 5-second, 3D-looping animated design to share on Instagram. To start your work, let’s briefly summarise the process you should follow. Start by building a deck. Then find references to create a mood board, sketch out an idea and create a colour palette. After that, create a 2D geometric design in Illustrator, applying what you have learned in the course. You can then bring your Illustrator design into 3D using the ArtSmart plugin, model, light, texture, and animate it into Cinema 4D. Finally, render with OctaneRender, then composite and colour correct in After Effects before encoding your final stills and animation in Adobe Media Encoder for different platforms. Remember to keep your ideas simple and concise.

I want to thank you for taking my course. I hope that you found it helpful and that it inspired you to do work that you love. Please ask any questions on the forum and remember to share your work. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Thank you, and keep creating.”
