Renata Galindo
A course by Renata Galindo
Since a young girl, Renata has been drawing the characters and scenes of her favorite books. When it was time to choose a career path, she studied design and visual communication, where she focused on illustration and visual narrative, before going to the UK to study an MA in children’s book illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Soon after, she published her first picturebook “The Cherry Thief”, followed by her final project from her MA “My New Mom & Me” which is translated into seven languages.
After her Master’s degree, Renata returned to Mexico City, where she worked as an artist and layout designer for Diecinueve36 for four years, before becoming an independent author and illustrator. Renata has worked with several publishers for children’s books in Mexico and the US, including Scholastic, Macmillan, and Penguin Random House.
