Botanical Sketchbooking: A Meditative Approach

I like Lapin's calm demeanor and simple approach.

I really enjoyed this course. I love flowers and have tried to paint them using watercolours before, but this approach was very different from what I´ve learnt earlier. It was interesting to draw and paint plants directly from nature using a fineliner, not a pencil, not being able to correct any mistakes. This course improved my drawing skills, gave me more confidence in painting plants and flowers, and learnt me new techniques.

Great course, clear explanations, I've learnt lots of watercolors and observation drawings tips during it!

The watercolor lessons were done in a direct, easy-to-follow manner. I appreciated the pattern-making lesson's simplicity.

El curso de Lupin es buenísimo. A medida que avanza, una se va dando cuenta de la pasión del maestro por el dibujo y eso lo transmite. Los consejos y enseñanzas son interesantes, me gusta mucho el planteamiento de practicar el dibujo como una forma de meditación, de concentración para adquirir calma mental. Me gusta mucho la paciencia de Lupin, el gusto por observar cada detalle, la admiración que siente por las plantas y las flores. Seas o no dibujante, es súper recomendado.

I really enjoyed this course, it taught be a good bit and the calm mood of the course had a very positive effect on me. I learned to become less hesitant in trying to depict a flower as it is, and I experienced the meditative effect of engaging with the plant.

I am really enjoying this course. The drawing and painting methods are clearly explained and several examples are given. Also, the video itself is well done, with relaxing background music. I highly recommend.
