What's included in this course?
To begin, look for a theme that serves as a basis for your fashion collection. Then, research that topic and develop a mood board and a notebook full of inspiring images. Select a color range based on the theme, prepare sketches, design the silhouettes, and choose the right materials to build your collection.
Next, take it a step further by adding more details and preparing the technical sheet, an essential document that lays out the characteristics of the collection for workshops and pattern makers.
Inés then invites you into her studio to get a closer look at the patterns for each garment before showing you how she makes adjustments on a garment prototype, or toile, so you can see the complete production process from the inside.
After that, she unveils the completed garments in their definitive fabrics to discuss finishes, techniques, fabrics, and silhouettes in detail.
Lastly, explore the catalog of the complete collection to gain a better sense and understanding of it in its entirety.

Inés Aguilar is the designer and creator behind the brand La Casita de Wendy, founded over 17 years ago. She’s developed collections to sell internationally in prestigious stores such as Anthropologie in the EEUU, Cocktail in Hong-Kong, and Lamp in Tokyo.
At La Casita de Wendy, Inés and her team create garments with simple shapes, allowing the graphic designs or patterns printed on the fabric and the selection of colors and materials to be the real protagonists. Through viewing its garments as a unique medium of communication, the brand strives to tell stories with its designs.
Inés combines her role as creative director of the brand with teaching. She has taught in Madrid at the Universidad Europea, the Higher Technical School of Architecture, and the IED design school, where she currently directs the master's degree in textile and surface design.
