Artistic Portrait Photography: Exploring Body Language
“We reached the end of our course, unfortunately it's time to say goodbye! I am immensely happy that we exchanged information and somehow became a creative valve in your journey! I hope my sharing reverberates a lot out there! Before we close, let's reminisce about a few things we've seen throughout the course and that you'll use in completing your final project and, hopefully, throughout your life. • Find a creative valve to inspire you. • Choose your theme. It can be a feeling to drive your idea, for example. • Create a mood board or plan what you think about creating, so your unconscious dives into possibilities influencing not only the shooting but the understanding of your idea. • Decide who, how and where to shoot. Look for someone who connects with your idea, establish the space, equipment and elements that will favor you at the moment of realization. • Create a comfortable environment. Seek to connect with whoever you are photographing, showing what you have in mind and exchanging experiences. Allow yourself to register the possibilities that tune and space reverberate and always have empathy for the other. • Finally, choose and process the photographs that most relate to the concept of your final project. Understand that chance can be creative, find records that cross between the initial proposal and the reflection of the portrait, thus enabling new narratives. Sometimes the theme is born at the conclusion of the work. The structure you create makes it possible to expand your gaze to portray truths. It would be interesting to see in your final project at least 1 photo example before and after the treatment and 3 finished photos that represent your concept well and that are in accordance with the narrative you wanted to create. In addition to the photographs, also share your creative process to reach the final result. Before and after

Seek to consume references from all artistic segments. Eventually this will reverberate in your work. Don't stop believing in your potential. If you really want to do something, make it happen. Take a deep breath and allow yourself to feel until you need to put that feeling on record, in an essay or in some artwor...”
