Hand-Drawn Illustration with Layers, Colors, and Shapes
“Thank you so much for participating in my course here at Domestika. I feel very happy and honored to be able to share a part of my work, my story and my creative process. I hope you enjoyed it and had as much fun as I did here on the other side. I've put together a short list of steps I'd like to see in your project: 1. Choose the concept/theme you want to work on. It is interesting to choose a subject that makes sense and is cool for you. 2. Search for images and references from the chosen concept, as well as examples of graphic style you would like to work with. This research can be done with books, websites and profiles that you like on social networks. 3. In your sketchbook, do some character studies, ideas, scenarios and graphics related to the project. 4. After the studies, make the sketch "valid" in the correct sheet (or desired support) for your project. 5. Finally, it's time to prepare the paints and other materials to start painting and drawing the layers of your illustration, very calmly and patiently. Remember: Don't worry so much about making something perfect, this is a course for those who like to experiment, and mistakes are also part of the process. This is the presentation of my project. Now I want to see your idea and your creative process.
