Silvia Cordero Vega trained as a graphic designer and calligrapher in her hometown, Buenos Aires, and in Europe and the United States, learning from prominent international calligraphers.
For almost three decades she has been promoting the craft and is heavily involved in projects for the development of calligraphy in Argentina and Latin America, taking workshops and conferences at universities, foundations, and associations around the world. Her clients include Casa Foa–the largest interior design fair in Argentina–, Papelera Palermo, and various foreign agencies, although a good part of her work is focused on personal projects with a social or artistic aspect. She is the author of Alfabetos, flora y fauna and Viaje en tiralíneas, and for more than 20 years she has shared her calligraphy knowledge through teaching.
