Joanne Condon
A course by Joanne Condon
Joanne Condon is an award-winning furniture artist and upcycler. Her passion for creativity began at a very young age. She attended art classes on the weekends and even painted Vincent Van Gogh’s The Starry Night on her bedroom ceiling in her early teens. She went on to hone her craft by studying and teaching art for several years. Later, Joanne discovered her love for upcycling in particular after buying a house and struggling to find the unique and colorful furniture she wanted to fill it with. Her vibrant upcycled pieces soon attracted attention and enabled her to set up a furniture business of her own in 2011.
Joanne teaches the upcycling techniques she has learned both in-person and online at classes around Ireland. She was the upcycling expert for RTE’s Today Show for a number of years and has won several awards including Best Workshop and Best DIY and Upcycling Account. Joanne has also published her own book, Furniture Crush, in which she shares her expertise in paper form.
