A clothing collection is a reflection of the designer and their personality, experiences, and philosophy on life. For Justo Heras, artist and founder of Laser Barcelona, each item he designs is more than just clothing, it's a story told in stitches. His textile creations can be found in stores across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
In this course, learn everything involved in designing and marketing your own clothing line. Justo guides you step-by-step through the concept, design, development, and production phases to create an original streetwear line. Decorate shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories with your designs and discover the key to launching an unforgettable collection.

Begin the course by getting to know Justo Heras, who tells you about his work as an illustrator and his clothing brand Laser Barcelona. He also shows you some of his favorite projects and biggest sources of inspiration.
Start exploring the main concept of your collection and have a look at Justo's creative approach to find ideas and inspiration. Learn some techniques to help you choose a topic that motivates you and create a mood board to see all your ideas in one place. Then, learn about different fabrics, materials, and techniques you can use to make clothing and create sketches of your designs using an artist's notebook.
Now it's time to switch to the screen. Go over your sketches with watercolors or ink, digitize them, and arrange them in files to work on in Photoshop or Illustrator. Design your clothing collection following the style and color scheme you chose. Make a line sheet and experiment with colors before selecting five articles of clothing for your collection. Justo then shows you how to apply your design and adjust for different sizes.
Finally, create the accessories for your clothing line while keeping your budget and material options in mind. Justo gives you some tips on how to find suppliers and what to expect in the production phase and for costs, final prices, and timing. To wrap up the course, he shares the secrets to successfully launching a clothing collection.
