“We reached the end of the course. You have gone over all the lessons I taught you and done the tasks I have suggested. I find it fitting that we now do a brief do a round-up of what we have learned to emphasize the potential applications of these skills. As we got to know each other, I showed you my influences and the artists whose work I follow closely. We have explored various sources that can be used for references, online and offline. I have also talked you through the materials that I personally find best (your experience with pens and your tools of choice can, in the end, differ, and that's OK!). Alternatively, I provided you with some other options, and where to find all the mentioned materials. Once we decided on the theme or subjects of your design, I showed you how I would approach a sketching process with each of them. You could either try finding alternative references to apply the techniques I taught you, or you use the same as mine. These references are easy to find. We then learned how to define the lines of our drawing and how to work it up so that we can establish a somewhat defined outline after which we wrapped thins up with shading. If you’d like any feedback or help throughout the process, upload your images to the forum and I would be more than happy to help you along the way. The same applies if you’d like any feedback on your finished designs. As I mentioned before, use the practical contents of this course to try coming up with different designs. If you were to focus on the portrait side of the projects, you could consider someone not wearing sunglasses, or play with hair length and texture. You could also use any other animated character and turn it into your own, and if you have any questions or in need of advice you could upload your images and I will respond as soon as I can. Lastly, we have discussed how to clean up and scanned images. In doing so you have an image that is ready to be easily printed in different sizes. Consider the ramifications of this, as you can use your images to produce whatever collateral or merch you want to. However, if you are having any technical difficulties formatting your image please hit me up and let me know. Bear always in mind the aftercare products and tips I have given you. Also, never perform or get a tattoo at home. Tattoos should always be done at a certified shop and by a professional. Bye!”
