About the final project for: Creative Journaling for Illustration

Creative Journaling for Illustration

“You have reached the end of the course, I hope you have enjoyed the whole process and you can continue creating many notebooks to store all the ideas you have in your head. I recommend you always take your notebook everywhere, that will allow you to continue creating, observing and recording. When you draw try to follow your instinct, don't get frustrated if something doesn't “work out” keep drawing, and remember that the most important thing is to enjoy the creative processes. Don't get obsessed with finding a style or following just one work method, there are many ways to create and then without realizing it, what you're looking for will appear. Remember to find inspiration and references in your interests. As a course project you will have to make your own "mother book". Do some of the creative exercises that I taught you so that you lose your fear of the blank page. Here is an example of how I would like to see your course project: Start creating: Look for inspiration in your own interests, you can find them in objects, in photographs, in music videos, in trips or in the things that most catch your attention, the important thing is that they are personal propellants that help you create. Face your first blank sheet and do the first exercise.

Experiment: Organize all the ideas to rediscover your imaginary in your mother notebook. Start working with different materials and different ways of looking for reference with a final exercise, this will help you understand more about the creative processes.
The “mother notebook”: Finish your "mother notebook", remember that it is a propellant to create new ideas. Starting to create thematic notebooks will help you better understand your series of drawings to carry out different projects with different ideas that will help you have continuity or a visual narrative in your illustrations. You can use this series of illustrations to create content on social networks, make prints, show them in an online catalog or more specific project such as making a book.
The course project is only the beginning of the road, you can make a fanzine with all the illustrations, you can print it at home or at the nearest printing house in your neighborhood, you can also make a series of t-shirts or products. To make your notebook, you can use my work method to find inspiration and know where to find your own creativity when you have no ideas to draw. You can also just take what works for you and create your own working method. I ask you to be very patient throughout this process and have a good time while you are drawing, the idea is that you do not feel pressured, judged or demanded when you draw in this notebook. I would love to see the process of all your notebooks and see what themes you are creating to start with your future projects. Please, do not forget to share your project, I will be giving you feedback as soon as possible. But while you wait, I invite you to see the projects of the rest of your colleagues, and you can also take advantage of the forum to share some tips and tricks with them. Let's use the forum to form a community and support each other. Thank you very much for joining my course, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I send you a hug, and see you soon in the forum.”
