Creative Sketching: Fill Your Illustrations with Life and Detail
“There is something timeless about complex complicated art in that all kinds of people, no matter the age or background can appreciate it. Children constantly find new details, whereas adults are reminded of how it felt like to be a child. From the beginning of human development, it has been used to describe the life, ideas, and habits of humans all through history. By studying art and history and learning how to construct and fill pieces with lots of details and stories you will be able to tell stories and describe your thoughts with your art, and by watching examples from history you can learn that the techniques do not have to be perfect. You can use perspectives in your illustrations but you do not have to be a master at it. Consider the style of the Egyptians, the Persians, or the Chinese, or even the Maya Indians. The point here is that you might want to develop your own way of doing things, finding your own style in the process. The task may be overwhelming at first, but try to finish each project anyway even though it might take a long time, and if you are not 100% happy you can always try again, that is how humans learn. For the final project what you will have to do is to finish one detail-drawing using an actual location as your starting point. Fill it up with as much interesting detail and life as possible. I am looking forward to seeing the process and the results in either the forum or in social media outlets (if that's the case, remember to add hashtags).

After, we learned how to choose the space for your final project I used the simple one point perspective and a real space for reference. This makes it easier when you work with details. Then we chose the theme. We wrote down some short stories ...”
