“Shadows and Volume In this lesson we will apply layers to generate volume and shadows. We already have the first layer on all of our illustration. So now it's just applying more color and more volume. Something that I like to do a lot is combine colors. For example, in this flower, in this tulip the first layers I used with this bluish purple. And I would like to enhance some areas using different shades, for example, this purple one, but that pulls more towards pink.
