About the final project for: Creating an Autobiographical Webcomic

Creating an Autobiographical Webcomic

“I congratulate you, you made it to the end! I hope you enjoyed the trip! We start by looking for ideas from our internal world and connecting them with the outside, generating a concept map with the key ideas that we want to communicate in the webcomic. We investigate these ideas and develop a solid floor to project and build stories.

From that, we were shaping the characters in the sketching stage, we experimented with materials and decided how we are going to show them.
Then we develop short scripts from the main ideas. With this, we built actions and dialogues, we learned to pay attention to the encounter between words and images, we were able to make decisions about points of view, shots, we understood how each vignette works, we saw how to keep a rhythm and the main elements at the time of build a narrative. We ended up inking and leaving the comics ready to be scanned and digitally retouched and then shared in different virtual spaces designed especially for them.
But this does not end there, it just begins! You're ready to see more ideas come to your mind that you can share periodically. You will make your webcomic grow and transform and you and your readers will see it, who will connect with your experiences and you will be amazed at how those intimate ideas put in your notebooks make sense in many people who share and read them online. And be careful that many opportunities for the future may appear from this project, just enjoy entering yourself to develop new stories. Always remember to work something personal and that you find interesting, that will allow you to enjoy inventing stories and develop your project with enthusiasm. Work on a drawing that is honest with yourself, do not seek to show off, be true to your story and enjoy developing your own look and style. Learn to trust your instincts. Share your work on the networks and do not lose the course of your idea to communicate, do not pursue results in the amount of likes or comments from readers. You are the first person to whom your work should make sense, when you work from there the rest is a natural result. Are you worried about where to get ideas? Don't worry, for me it was the vision of the panther and I riding it through fears and portals, for you it could be anything else, an amulet that you carry, a childhood memory, a special friend , a recurring dream. Look at the details, be curious, be amazed and reflect from your unconscious. Find yourself in thought. For that we draw, to turn off the head and bring out the internal in images. I hope I have accompanied you in your process and have been able to give you tools to search and develop ideas from your creative world. For me it was a pleasure to be able to share my process with you and if you have any questions, you can find me here, if I do not respond immediately, calm down, I will surely be lost in a notebook or in life itself, do not despair that I always turn around and I come back. ;) I will be happy to hear your comments and to be able to see and guide your project. You saw this course alone, but you are accompanied! Let's make this course a workshop, I invite you to be part of it and share your opinions and ideas with other colleagues, together we can help each other to improve details of our process, all opinions are valid and will enrich our work. Let the ideas, experimentation, inspiration and, above all, fun with your work follow! ”
