Me encantó. Muy orgánico y sensible. Para mí, totalmente útil y aplicable a mi trabajo.
I am really enjoying this class. Diego’s approach to working in log books every day is so inspiring. Not only are these pieces of art in and of themselves, they are beautiful diaries of your life. Diego is generous and thorough in his teaching style. And I love that most classes are dubbed in English so I can really concentrate on watching the teacher create instead of reading text (thank you Domestika for that!! )
As a woman who has dealt with the violence of society my entire life I find it repulsive that Bianki uses the collapsed corpse of a woman in “Playful Illustration” The back is called “My Name is Violence.” It is enraging to hear him blithely talk about how playful the images are, why he chose the color yellow and a lighthearted font all the while painting around and on a scantily clad murdered woman. We are supposed to incorporate and normalize these as “fun.” The communication is tone deaf.
I loved the course. It was helpful to me in the graphic art field in seeing things in new and different ways. I generally have done my journaling on the computer, but stepping back to an analog process was not only fun, but it forces the student to create things from available things, and encourages you to draw and paint as a part of the illustration process. Thank you so much Diego Bianki. I look forward to seeing your book that I’ve ordered online.
Great step-by-step, gently paced videos. Very creative and inspirational!
