Introduction to Children’s Illustration

Corso strutturato abbastanza bene , non essendo esperta di illustrazione per bambin* mi ha aperto una porta per conoscere un mondo pieno di creatività. Vengono presentate una serie di tecniche che ti portano a sperimentare e metterti in gioco.

Fantastic intro to children's book illustration. Adolfo Serra presents a wide range of artworks and explains why he chose them: this gives an idea of what makes an illustration interesting and successful. Then he goes through the entire process of creating a set of three illustrations for a fairy tale. He shows interesting techniques involving ink, collage and monotype and encourages us to play and combine them to produce interesting illustrations. Loved it, super inspiring and insightful!

It's a quick course that covers many of the aspects of illustrations. Loved it.

Adolfo es un excelente docente, muy claro a la hora de transmitir y compartir lo que sabe. La dinámica de las clases es muy amena, los recursos técnicos y los recursos adicionales son excelentes, incluyendo la lista de Spotify!
Agradezco especialmente el énfasis que Adolfo pone por transmitir sus propias experiencias de aprendizaje y cómo trabajar el proceso creativo en todas sus dimensiones. Es el segundo curso que hago y sin dudas haría otros.

I enjoyed watching Adolfo work through the design process, I was impressed with the number of thumbnail sketch he does. The experimental phases was inspiring.
