Introduction to Children’s Illustration

I'm only half way through this course and loving the process and the instructor. Adolfo Serra is a fantastic teacher, knowledgeable, fun, and inspiring. The assignments offer freedom and allow for much experimentation. The images, additional resources, and links are also very helpful. I look forward to completing it and taking other courses by him.

Muito bom. Estou adorando acompanhar com calma e executar as tarefas! Fiquei na dúvida quanto o uso de alguns materiais sugeridos. Foi bom porque testei mais de um. Por exemplo: o lápis de cera usado no gato, era lápis de cera seco ou oleoso? Usei os dois e ainda experimentei o lápis aquarelado. Para mim, foi o que deu mais certo. Então, o curso tem me estimulado a experiências diversas.

Um curso bem estruturado e ensina boas técnicas de desenho.

Creo que Adolfo es, aparte de un gran ilustrador y artista, un gran docente! Uno de mis cursos favoritos en Domestika!

What a joyful course, definitely also for a novice like me! I like the build up: first starting with his inspiration, teaching some techniques and through all showing his own process and endresult. Really liked it and gave me lots of inspiration and "tools" to develop my own processes and work.
To improve: I'm Dutch and my Spanish is limited so I needed the english subtitles, those are unfortunately not always really good. Hope Domestika will also bring English courses in the near future! :-)

I really enjoyed the course. A lot of insight into the process and how the artists' mind works. I would have liked more hands on making the actual pieces however. But very good for the price!

Es un curso muy completo, en el que se enseña técnica y lo más importante, como crear algo propio. Lo único, no se usar bien el foro, para poder ver los comentarios que hace el profesor de las tareas

Me gusta la manera clara de explicar sus conceptos, en quienes se inspira y en las técnicas simples pero muy expresivas para una ilustración que debe comunicar algo a un niño. Me parece un gran profesional que sabe enseñar y contagia el gusto por el trabajo y la experiencia creativa.

I’m I so thrilled with this course! It’s been invaluable. I was surprised by how extensive and wide ranging the content was. From a library tour of illustrated books, to mind mapping, practical artistic instructions and even the fantastic suggestion of making a music playlist to accompany your project! Love it all!
