“Painting the Elements: Architecture Let's now paint the window from the top of this arch. We are going to unify these two layers that we have there. Notice how the shadow was underneath. We’ll make a layer below the arch layer. Let's try shades of color. We can do it by lowering the opacity and we’ll paint behind the structure we already have. With the opacity set low, we can give these windows a dirty colored glass feel. We can also see if here we can paint just a piece of glass, as if it were broken.
