About the final project for: Watercolor Portraits Inspired by Nature

Watercolor Portraits Inspired by Nature

“We have reached the end of the course! I hope you had as much fun as I did, but the adventure does not end here. Before saying goodbye, I will give you some recommendations to take into account when developing your project and I will give you some tips on how to present your final project. First, I recommend you clear your workplace and have your materials for the final project without other elements that distract you, remember that you can try with brushes of more sizes but that are special for watercolor, these end in a point. The magic of watercolors is in controlling the water little by little and for that I recommend you practice in your blog and paint different elements such as fruits, birds or plants. This way you will get familiar super fast with this beautiful technique. If you don't get it right the first time, keep trying! The goal is to never stop learning.

Second, it is very important that you can assemble your portfolio of references from your own experience, try to photograph everything you see around, in a park, on a trip or walking down the street. These references will give your work its own stamp. Third, when you customize your color palette, remember that you can use the colors you want but keep in mind that when we mix colors that complement each other, the work looks more solid, that this does not limit you to using the colors that you like.
Fourth, it is important that you invest in a good quality watercolor, these are easy to recognize because they shine and this means that it has a good percentage of Arabic gum, this will help the color of your illustration last for many years. Fifth, when you fragment your portrait, remember that you can do it in two, four or in all the parts you want, this is the fun of fragmenting! Just give yourself a few minutes to think and correctly compose your fragmented portrait, remember that you have to add organic elements such as leaves, flowers, animals, eyes, hearts, clouds; Here you will let your imagination fly! and when you see the final result, you will recognize yourself through the painting, this process is healing and reflective.
Finally when you start using watercolors, I always recommend starting with the lightest shades and don't use more than four or five shades. As you paint, you will mix the tones with water, this will make more tones appear and your illustration will look more realistic.
My final advice is that you are always willing or willing to learn and that you share that with others. Have fun, if you make a mistake, try again but above all, never stop creating! Finally, do not forget to do your tasks, share your progress, participate in the forum and upload your project and step by step, I will be very attentive to see what you have created. So I can help you in your creative process. If you have questions or doubts, do not stop writing to me that I will be waiting to answer you as soon as possible. And, most importantly, enjoy the process! Thank you very much for being part of this course. See you! ”
