About the final project for: Storytelling for Short Film Screenplays

Storytelling for Short Film Screenplays

“First of all, I would like to thank and congratulate you for your effort and time dedicated to reaching the end of this course. I hope that you have clearly assimilated all the concepts that I have shared and, above all, that you can now apply them by increasing the volume of your unique and unrepeatable voice. Remember to let go of time and the end result. The writing of a film project is a task that must flow. Before you actually start writing, you have to go down the path to recognize and collect the elements necessary for this task to flow. So, say goodbye to the hurry and put your heart in each part of this path. • Be sure to make the collection of decisions that make up your life story and justify where you are right now. • Always use references that make you vibrate to awaken your inspiration. • Choose a pleasant and welcoming place to work. • Discover the premise of your story in your brainstorming. • Identify your unique way of seeing the world. • Deepen your characters, both inside and out. • Make your protagonist's collection of decisions and find the moral of your story. • List all the scenes in your script to be able to assess what really serves, what is left and what is missing. • Write the logline and synopsis of your film and facilitate the communication of your idea. • Use creativity to the smallest detail and bring every corner of your story to life! Light up everything, don't leave any corner out. Here I share some elements of my Creative Folder: Brainstorming

Roadmap
"Love Disarms" Written by Lud Mônaco 1. EXT. COIMBRA BAR - DAY A street with several bars and terraces. Débora is sitting at a table, surrounded by some other customers from the same bar. Débora drinks a few sips from the glass of beer that rests on the table. LUCIANO (29), a young boy, dressed precariously, but with an elegant hat over his head, frequently enters and leaves the bar. Communicates with a group of young people both inside and outside the bar. Luciano and Débora exchange looks. Luciano approaches Débora's table. LUCIAN Helo! Sorry for the inconvenience, but what beer are you having? It has a different color.
In the end, you can take several writing courses and it is important to know the theory, but the essential thing is that you write with your head tuned to the center of your chest. I cannot explain this, but I know that you can understand even without explanation. Finally, share your process on the forum, your Creative Folder and your story. This is the most pleasurable part, believe me! Think that the other students of the course can be your faithful squires and form part of your “evaluation board”. So, some can help others, since everyone is going through the same process! Either way, I will always be following your progress during my breaks from work, and also sharing my vision. Try, seek, dare! Allow yourself. I want to see your final project on the forum. Good luck and good work! ”

“Final project Dear students and fellow travelers, first I would like to thank and congratulate to everyone who made it to the end of this course. It was a great pleasure to take this course and think about the story of Débora and Luciano for my final project. In the additional features of the last unit, I left you a special document that talks about my inspiration to develop the history of the project and who are the real characters that inspired the story. Before I say goodbye, I would like to remind you the main points that we saw in the course and that will be paramount for you to develo...”
