Creative Portraits with Markers
“We have reached the end of the course! I hope you had fun and learned new techniques both to draw realistic portraits, and to learn to have more creative ideas and apply them to your projects. I hope you enjoyed learning to handle this relatively modern marker technique and know how to take advantage of it. This course consists of taking creative portraits and I am sure that you will be able to carry out work with a new point of view due to what we have learned, you just have to put your creativity in motion. I think that now it will be much easier for you to take portraits of both friends and whoever you want. You will be able to handle better with the markers, learn to fit a face in the most realistic way, choose a good photo to make more original and fun portraits, and learn to develop a little better creativity so that your illustrations are unique. Once you have acquired this knowledge you can apply it to all kinds of ideas. I will briefly recap our steps. First I introduced myself and told you a little about who I am and how I got here. Later, I have told you about my influences and how their work has shaped my style and my perception of art and illustration. I have taught you the necessary materials for this course, how to use the markers and how to train the eye to fit better. I have also talked to you about the operation of light and color theory so that when you start your portrait, you have these basic elements in your head. And from here we have gone on to do our work. To start your project, I share here some stages of my illustration: 1. Grid lace technique so that our model and portrait are very similar.

When you decide select the image that will be the basis of your portrait and also choose the elements that will give it originality. Then fit your portrait within a grid and transports the information from the image to your paper. Then go over the main lines in ink. Then, works a base of color from ...”
