YouTube: Creating a Channel from Scratch
“Dear students, we have reached the end of the course. We have met several youtubers from different artistic fields and with different approaches on their channels. We have also seen what are the characteristics of YouTube as a platform, what will be the strategy to follow on our channel, how to produce a trailer of your work and how to make it known. Choose which works you want to show in the trailer. Quality matters more than quantity. It should not be a long video, but it should be eye-catching. Don't be obsessed with numbers. Remember that the channel is yours and should reflect you as an artist. Do not be guided by my aesthetics or my way of approaching it, look for your own language. If this is the first time that you make a video, don't worry about the quality or the editing, little by little you will learn and discover things that suit you. I hope you have enjoyed the course. I'm dying to see your trailers and get to know your work; you sure surprise me. I will answer all of them, but it may take a while, I want to see them all with time and with the concentration they deserve. I also encourage you to watch the videos of your colleagues and give them constructive opinions. If you receive more opinions other than mine, you will have a much richer vision and criticism and we can continue to improve together. ”
