Get started by meeting Marcelo, who tells you a little about himself, his career, his inspiration, his influences, and what will be covered in this course.

Then, review the materials essential to creating your amigurumis. Learn how to crochet, create the magic ring, and the basic (and not so basic) stitches. Plus, see how to read the abbreviations of a pattern as a way to crochet a design.

Marcelo shares his creative process and explains how he searches for inspiration. Learn some tips for turning your ideas into a design that can become an amigurumi.

Let’s crochet! Following the pattern, learn some simple and complex shapes based on what you’ve learned and begin shaping the different parts of the amigurumi: a winged rhinoceros.

Start with the body, which is based on a spherical triangle. Then make the head, which is based on a spherical square. Continue with the horn, legs, ears, and tail. Finally, join all the pieces together until you achieve the ideal shape.

To wrap things up, learn how to decorate your amigurumi and give it a personal touch. By the end of this course, you will know how to read design patterns and crochet your own characters.
