About the final project for: Fine Art Self-Portrait Photography

Fine Art Self-Portrait Photography

“Dear student, You have reached the end of the course and I would like to resume what was discussed so that all the content covered before the final project proposal is clear and objective. In Unit 1, you got to know me a little better, saw how my experience applies to my work and the importance of creating images that make sense to yourself. I presented my influences and you could see how I feed on them when building an image. Finally, you were instructed on what the course would be like and what would be covered. In Unit 2, you were able to contextualize the self-portrait, understand the characteristics of this construction scope according to the history of art and how it applies in contemporary times. He increased his visual repertoire by analyzing reference images that helped us to expand the notion of photography and also brought us a wealth of possibilities for creation. We then saw how to build an image intention and how to make decisions from it. You have learned to script these decisions and organize ideas to enhance the construction narrative. And finally, I explained how to configure the equipment and the different possibilities of shooting the camera to solve the moment of execution of the self-portrait. In Unit 3, you could see how to configure the settings and how to position yourself before the camera, avoiding distracting eyes and optimizing time. We made a self-portrait together where you could participate from the thought to the challenges of execution, which led us to understand the importance of error in building a more mature and more meaningful image. In Unit 4, I explained the criteria for choosing to select the image that best represents the image intentions. You learned how to make the initial adjustments in the digital edition, always taking care to be consistent with the proposal and use Adobe Photoshop as a constructive edition. And there, too, you saw some tools that serve to continue the creation and contribute to the construction of a more sophisticated narrative. Finally, I presented several types of markets. In addition, we saw that you can direct your work towards a more appropriate curatorship, thus being able to occupy several types of market and even become a creator of alternative spaces. For the final project, you must produce a scripted self-portrait from the thought, through the construction of intention, execution until editing. Apply all the steps in the process that I explained to you. Share in the forum your process, your creation steps, and of course, the result! Also, if you wish, show us your progress, with photos, through Instagram and the hashtag #DannyBittencourtDomestika. I will give feedback on what could improve and on the positive points. Consider that in many moments this return can take a while depending on the job demand I have at the moment. Remember that the error is important and feel free to redo it as many times as necessary, each time is a great learning experience. Thank you so much for being with me during this period. I hope that this course has served as a spark and that many things are born from these stimuli. Take advantage of our forum to share your doubts and help those in need, the exchange is one of the most powerful things in meetings and if everyone helps each other, everyone grows. To the next! With love, Danny. ”

“Final Project We've reached the end of our self-discovery journey. I hope the course was as transformative for you as it was for me.
