About the final project for: Figurative Fashion Embroidery with Needle Felting

Figurative Fashion Embroidery with Needle Felting

“We have reached the end of the course! Thank you so much for joining me in creating this piece. I hope you’ve learned some new skills that you can take with you and incorporate into your art in the future! In this course you have learned how to: -Create a design using your computer. -Pick out colours that reflect the mood and seasons. -Transfer a design to different fabrics using different techniques. -The basic stitches for embroidering as well as the technique of needle felting. -How to frame and hang your final piece.

Remember to take it slow and be patient. This is a big project with delicate stitches that require a lot of time to complete. Remember to always keep your project tight in your hoop as your working to avoid warping your fabric. You can take this knowledge and apply it to create your own designs. Find some inspiring images or themes and create a moody piece of your own by combining colours and textures in an interesting way. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have and I’ll be sure to reply to you as quickly as possible. I’ll be checking in periodically but it may take some time for me to get to all of your questions. Be sure to share anything you learned through completing this project with your colleagues who may have shared questions. Everybody has their own way of doing things and that is just perfect. I’d love to hear about your individual discoveries of new methods and techniques! ”
