About the final project for: Illustration and GIF Creation on Procreate

Illustration and GIF Creation on Procreate

“Hello, we have reached the end of the course! I hope you have learned and enjoyed the process that is the most important for me when it comes to covering a project. We learned to give life and movement to our illustrations, telling little stories with characters based on the things that inspire us the most. We take our drawings beyond paper and create our own universe. Here are the steps to follow to reach the final result: To begin with, I recommend you seek inspiration and references to help you define your concept and find the characters that best communicate the story you want to tell with your GIF pack.

Then proceed to create your character, taking into account how geometric shapes are associated with personality. At this point, you can also rely on reference images, such as the characters in your favorite animated film, as that will help you identify the characteristics you are looking for to create your sketch, because the next step will be ... Start animating!
To start the animation, video record a friend doing the movement you want for your GIF, this will help you achieve fluidity and dynamism in the character. Start to draw the skeleton, helping you with the "onion paper" tool, without forgetting the principles of animation that I showed you, so that you achieve consistency with reality.
Once the rough animation is ready, detail and add color to the character, make sure the movement works, because you still have time to make adjustments. Add some figures that visually enrich the action.
With the animated character, create your background and remember to use the background and foreground option to take advantage of the sense of depth.
Now, it is time to take full advantage of the tool that allows us to make animated images and share them wherever you go with just your iPad. Remember that themes and inspiration are everywhere and we can turn them into animated stories.
I hope that what we work in the process helps you to continue exploring the world of animation. Thank you for being part of this community and for sharing with me. I invite you to share your projects in the forum and if you have any questions or comments I will be attentive to solve them. I share some tips that have helped me a lot in my work as an entertainer: keep it simple, do your best and most importantly, enjoy your process, because that way learning is better. We are very happy and we send you a big hug, thank you for learning with us. We hope to hear from you soon. ”
