Introduction to Macrame Tapestry
“We have reached the end of the course and you are now ready to get your hands on the wires! Thank you so much for dedicating a part of your time learning macramé techniques with me and creating pieces in this incredible art. I hope you had fun and acquired new skills and ideas to incorporate into your own work. Knowing some types of fibers and their specificities, what materials you need to start your project, the basic points of macrame, festonê and all its variations, you will surely expand your possibilities of creation and build your tapestry by printing your own identity on it. Remember that you can also create your own frames using lashing techniques. In this way, you will have more alternatives in the creation of your tapestry thinking about different shapes and sizes. As the final project of this course, I chose a wall tapestry using a geometric frame, a rhombus as a structure. However, do not limit yourself to a single shape and look for other geometric shapes. These are some of the steps in my creative work: Choice of forms and initial planning.
