Now it's time to grab your needles and start embroidering! Elo walks you through the portrait creation process stitch by stitch. You’ll need sheer tulle, DMC threads, a fine needle, a bamboo embroidery hoop, embroidery scissors, a white marker or Gelly Roll pen, a reference photo, and optionally Adobe Illustrator for creating digital palettes.
You’ll learn how to embroider portraits on tulle, create sketches from photos, select and abstract color palettes, transfer designs, apply gradients and volume with stitches, and experiment with innovative techniques and finishes.
