“Posing In this lesson on posing, I'll explain how I direct a model. This is Alba Ribas. I work with natural light, but we've set up an artificial light to replicate the sun. The first thing I do is look at the light and when I have it set up, I start shooting. If I want it to be just a portrait, obviously I get closer to Alba. One of the things I focus on a lot when taking photos is the gaze, so I tell the model to look to one side or the other, to lower her head, to closer her eyes. Look this way, off into the distance.
