In this course Leire Villar, better known as Ameskeria (designer, photographer and art director) will teach you the basic techniques of crochet so you can create dolls based on your illustrations.

You will learn in a very simple way how to weave different figures and shapes with volume, as well as the necessary resources to personalize your creations.

What's included in this course?

You will begin to learn more about the career of Leire Villar and the work of other crochet artists who inspire him.

Then, Leire will talk about the materials and tools that exist in the market and will show you how everyday objects can be a great source of inspiration.

Then you will learn the basic techniques of crochet and learn to weave progressively, first in a flat and then with volume, until you get to master complex shapes. You will discover how to change color and interpret a pattern correctly.

Once you are familiar with the technique, Leire will show you its creation process: how it is inspired, how to make the sketches and how to use resources to personalize dolls or amigurumi projects.

Finally, Leire will give you some extra resources for you to experiment with all the possibilities offered by crochet including recycled materials, advanced level graphics such as jaquard or light circuits.

Leire Villar learned to knit ten years ago and feels passion for crochet or crochet. He loves that simply with needle, thread and creating knots in an orderly way, suddenly you can create a single object from nothing.
