“In order to get better at drawing you only have to do one thing and that is to get into the habit of always drawing, always be prepared to draw and always bring your material with you. Listen to a lot of different artists but be vary of the ones that say you have to do it a specific way, there is no wrong way but there are a lot of right ways. Draw from life, the more you do it the easier it will become when drawing from your memory and directly from fantasy. Try out a lot of materials and see which suits you best but do not buy the most expensive things at the beginning (more expensive materials often work better but they do not do any miracles). Ask other artists for advice but keep in mind that professional artists often live hectic lives, if they do not have the time to answer do not think it's your fault nor theirs. Draw all the time and try to feel as happy as you can by doing it, the more you draw the funnier it will be. Try digital media as well but even though you might do most stuff digital keep a sketchbook on the side, a sketchbook never goes out of power.”
