“Presentation Hello, welcome to my course, thank you for your interest. In this first lesson, I'll tell you a bit about who I am, what I do, a bit about everything I've done in my artistic career. I enrolled in the Faculty of Art at the Catholic University in Lima and my first intention was to study illustration, but that degree didn't exist in Peru, so I decided to switch to a specialism in painting, because I realized that it would allow me to really develop my creativity. Fito Espinosa has been painting and drawing for 25 years. In recent years, he has focused on developing images for different communication campaigns. In his work, he explores the emotional and mental worlds to translate them into images oriented to the search and understanding of the world and ourselves.
As a visual artist, he has exhibited his work on more than ten individual exhibitions and as many collective ones and has won several painting competitions. He has published five books of his own and has done innumerable illustrations for magazines, newspapers, and various publications, as well as for communication campaigns. In addition, he has an extensive line of engravings and another line of ceramics. His work can be found in his gallery located in Miraflores, Lima; also in other galleries, design shops, and on his website.
