“Watercolor After painting our grid with layers, I did another exercise with more natural shapes, like trees. You can try doing this too, with trees, leaves, or any shapes you like. In this first tree, I painted the green treetop, then used the same mix to add layers. I also painted the brown trunk in the middle, so when I applied the green layer later on top of the layer with the trunk and branches, it created an overlay and some transparency.
