Take your creations to a new stage that transcends the limits of two-dimensionality. Augmented reality can help you project your ideas in the digital environment with which you interact daily, social networks, thus achieving greater impact and exposure for your work, in addition to a universe full of new possibilities. The popular illustrator Beatriz Ramo, better known as Naranjalidad, tries in each of her illustrations to transfer a special atmosphere that manages to transmit emotion to the viewer. In the same way, it works on its augmented reality filters, only directly on the user, trying to make them stand out in an increasingly crowded environment.

Beatriz, in her first year Portrait with pencil, color techniques and Photoshop , taught you how to transform a classic portrait into a current and vibrant version. In this course, I will guide you to bring an idea, illustration, or design to a custom augmented reality filter for Instagram or Facebook. You will learn to use Spark AR Studio, the Facebook program to create filters and be able to upload them to your profile or share it with whoever you want.

You will start the course knowing Beatriz Ramo, who will tell you about her career and experience working with big clients like Amazon, Hyundai or Vogue, and will share with you some of her influences.

You will enter the world of augmented reality filters, seeing some examples that will inspire you for your project. You will discover Spark AR Studio, a simple program that offers spectacular results. Then, you will create a mood board of references and plan the work using an outline before producing it.

You will go on to sketch your filter idea with Procreate, Adobe Photoshop (or the software choice) experimenting with shapes and colors. Then you will choose the first elements to paint, develop and export. If you chose to do them in a traditional way, you will learn to digitize them.

Then, you will take a tour of the Spark AR interface, reviewing the tools that will help you shape your filter. You will start with the Face Tracker and the canvas as a frame around the filter; you will be able to preview how it is on your device.

You will learn what the Patch Editor is, how to interact with the filter and change from one mode to another by touching the screen. Then, you will perform the color correction and you will see the keys so that your aesthetic is perfect. You will learn to add a background to your filter using the Segmentation tool.

Finally, you will see the steps to export your filter and leave it ready to publish it in your profile or to share it privately with whoever you want.
