Begin by getting to know the work and influences of Miss Lylo as well as some embroidery books she loves.

See the types of threads, fabrics, and materials that are used in this technique. Learn the basic points of embroidery, both flat and raised as well as the sand point, the stem point, the rosette point, or the picot point.

Once you are familiar with the basics, choose and design your own shirt collar according to the types of fabric, the use of markers, and the most suited color palette.

Embroider a landscape with mountains, trees, leaves, and raindrops by combining different points, both symmetrical and asymmetrical embroideries, and small details that will enrich the final look of your needle work.

Finally, Miss Lylo talks about other items to decorate with embroidery such as pockets, slippers, hats, or coasters and tells you how to wash and care for embroidery.

What is this course's project?

The final project of the course is to design, compose and embroider your own shirt collar. Combining all the knowledge learned: stitches, thread types, and the design you have chosen.
