Clive Harris

Up until 12 months ago I had never done any art , so this is a new experience for me. 50 years ago I was employed as a draftsman drawing plans of office partitions for about a year and that is the limit of my experience. I believe if you can put two dots on a page and draw a line to connect them you can draw. From here it only gets better. I am still working a few hours a week (bookkeeping and gardening)and I am hoping to earn a little in the future from my art. I have sold my first commission piece. An outdoor painting to hang on a fence. Most of my life was spent as a salesperson,Cars, real estate and then Insurance all of which I was successful but I did not enjoy the work as I had to force myself out of my comfort zone. So much so I accepted an early retirement (age 50) but I never retired. I took the money and ran as fast as I could.I studied cabinetmaking and then upholstery, built 2 boats and drove a concrete truck. That pretty much covers my academic life. Married 3 times 3 children 9 grand kids and one great grand child.
