I am an artist seeking to express emotions such as sadness, loss, joy, beauty combined with naivety, 'childish' idealism, and a dynamic energy of movement and vitality expressed through colour, contrast and a joy in the generosity and endless invention of nature, especially flowers and trees with characters in the landscape, interacting with and being part of this creative energy all around. I am currently doing paintings in gouache on canvas, and am really interested in going deeper with my art so that I am expressing my authentic self. I often draw from imagination and my drawings inspire my paintings. I am also drawn to embroidery as a medium for artistic expression, and am inspired to either combine embroidery/crochet and art or produce separate embroidery creations. I have so many ideas that I find it hard to capture and get to them all out!
