Drawing was my passion growing up, but like a lot of families, my folks didn't believe it was possible to make a living as an artist so I was steered into other directions. After a series of boring office jobs I ventured into freelance writing, then became a certified animal trainer and finally a photographer. I started playing with digital brushes while processing photos and rediscovered my love for drawing and painting.
While I continue to write and shoot both personally and professionally, I have come full circle by rekindling my art obsession. I'm equally as fascinated by graphite and ink as I am by color, composition and contrast, highlights and shadows.
For now, solid drawing and color skills are my primary goals. I've discovered I love playing with dip pens, markers and watercolors and really look forward to combining my interests in animals and plants to create creative compositions that tell a story.
