Introduction
This is my very first attempt at embroidery, so the process was both exciting and a little nerve-wracking — but also incredibly rewarding. Through this project, I explored how texture and stitches can bring a photo to life in a whole new way.

For my final project, I chose a photo I took during my trip to Ta Sua mountain. I printed this photo using my Kodak Mini Printer, so the size is a bit small. In hindsight, I wish I had printed it in a larger size — it would have made it easier to embroider the textures and details. Still, working on this small canvas was a fun and challenging experience, and I enjoyed bringing the image to life through stitches.

Based on the photo, pick embroidery floss colors that closely match the natural hues in the image.

Since this is my first time embroidering, my stitches aren’t very consistent, and the floss on the back of the photo got a bit tangled. It was a bit tricky to control the tension and direction of the thread, but I learned a lot through the process. I definitely see areas where I can improve, and I plan to keep practicing to make my stitches neater and my technique more refined. Despite the challenges, I really enjoyed adding texture and life to my photo!
