So, I've made some others but feel these are the best so far in terms of texture using the glazes that I have. In this case I've used Mayco Shipwreck and Amaco Blue Rutile layered over each other and a bit of light flux underneath along the rim. I've not brought the glaze down too far on account of expected running from the Blue Rutile and used a cobalt wash in the texture and wiped back so that there's something covering all of the pattern if the glaze didn't run that far.
This is a stoneware speckle buff clay fired to Cone 6 at glaze fire. Totally in love with them and they are off to a winter craft fair that starts in October through to as close to Christmas Eve as possible so hope someone will feel the same!
