Annie Green

Hi, I'm Annie and I live in Sussex near Brighton, England. I'm a graphic designer and recently started working with clay and pottery about two years ago. Some good friends have a pottery studio in Ashdown Forest, UK. Initially I started making pots and really enjoyed it but didn't find it really grabbed me as creatively, so I thought about doing sculpture. I sort of started on my own with a few tips the guys gave me and artists I liked on Instagram and started my first head of my best friend. It was amazing, I found I loved the process, the crafting and whittling and seeing the face bit by bit, gradually a likeness starts to appear, I discovered a skill I didn’t know I possessed which really surprised me and my pottery friends! I have only created 4, but I feel I learn a bit more each time and maybe a better way of doing something, that’s why I’m interested in the course to learn more techniques and develop my very new skills.
