I am from Peru but now live in Adelaide. I love everything to do with urban sketching, watercolours and gouache. The Renaissance painters and modern painters are fantastic. I love Chagall, Picasso and Matisse. as well as more modern artists. One of my recent and very favourite experiences was attending the Urban Sketchers Symposium in Amsterdam in 2019.
From the Urban Sketchers I love Maru Godas, Marina Grechanik, Santi Salles, and Paul Wang, and of course Imna Serrano! I also love the UK's David Hockney, the US's Thomas Hoffmann, and from Australia, my favourites (not in any particular order) are: John Olsen, Tony Smibert, Ken Done and Jenny Kee (an fashion designer who uses brilliant designs and colours.) Margaret Olley is also to be treasured!
My other very favourite enjoyments are WOMADELAIDE, which is on for 4 days a year with fantastic world music and dance; Musica Criolla Peruana: as well as Cuban son; and finally Astronomy! Also, even though I have travelled and have tasted many different dishes , I still consider Peruvian cuisine the best in the world!
