I'm a self-taught artist and calligrapher/lettering artist. I love to work in pen and ink, watercolour and coloured pencil. I have a Masters in Art, Design & Architecture and my thesis looks deeply into the historical influences of the Austrian lettering reformer Rudolf von Larisch. In my lettering I am influenced by historical manuscripts and the Wierner Werkstätte artists such as Alfred Roller and Koloman Moser as well as other lettering artists such as Friederich Neugebauer. I find the work of contemporary lettering artists Brody Neuenschwander, Yves Leterme, Denis Brown, Christopher Haane, Randall Hassan and Michael Clark very inspiring. Artistically I'm a huge fan of impressionism particularly Degas. I participate in Inktober yearly although I have yet to actually finish the challenge.
