Bernardo Campbell Braga Ferreira

My name is Bernardo and I studied Cinema and Audiovisual at Universidade Federal Fluminense en Brasil.

I always loved to create. As a child, my favorite toy was LEGO. Then I discovered videogames and analog games. My parents always presented me new boardgames. And then I fell in love with cinema.

I love to create stories, narratives and shape it into something tangible. I played roll playing games for many years now, creating and develloping stories.

I did some volunteer work with interchange students and with visually impaired people. Later, I worked doing subtitles english-portuguese. I also learned other languages, so I could work translating texts between 2010 and 2013, in english, portugues and spanish.
Between 2014 and 2018 I studied cinema mainly because I wanted to write screenplays for feature films and animation. What I learned also showed me that I love to teach other people about what I know.

During that time, I did internship teaching kids about cinema in infermaries ward of a pedriatric hospital (with kids between 4 and 16 years old), and also at the university day care, for children between 2 and 6 years old. There was mainly pratices about cinema as a way of learning audiovisual.

Another activity I developed during that time was reconecting with board games. That brought me closer to the game aspect of cinema. In 2016, I started teaching people how to play the many different board games, using its narrative to teach better with my background. I did that until 2019.

Between 2014 and 2019, I worked as a public as civil servent at a traffic departament in Rio de Janeiro. Through those years I had the opportunity to write and review legal text, as well as learned to work with customer service. Although out of my spectre of work, was a enriching experience with people.

In 2020 and 2021, I studied in many cinema related courses. Some of those are: art directing, film directing, shortfilm and feature film screenwriting, and animation with Grease Pencil (Blender). Also in 2020, I wrote a shortfilme screeplay, that was produced in 2021 with premiere in 2022. I'm currently working in a freature film screenplay.

In 2021, I also learned something about my abilities when I studied two semesters of graphic design and had a incredible experience and learning. Without a doubt this experience enhanced my capabilities in other areas,

I'm eager to learn and a fast learner. What I want to do is to improve my skills and learn others in the process.
