Born in Porlamar, 1988 | Artistic Name: Aeterno (From Spiritual Exile to the Alchemy of Rootedness)
Based in Caracas; an architect by profession and an artist at heart. His career as a university professor does not dictate the form of his art, but rather serves not only as a framework for dissecting political reality, but also for conceptualizing the exploration of freedom. At 37, after experiencing the social and economic fractures of his country—which led him to reside in California (2008), Puerto Rico (2013), and Peru (2017)—he transformed his worldview: the continuous process of rootedness and uprootedness became the lens through which he observes Venezuelan identity. His abstract proposal emerges in the complex political context of Venezuela as an exercise in rescuing the essential, where his work is the result of a personal cartography drawn through exile, making a conceptual manifesto proposal where the essence of being Venezuelan ceases to be a passive refuge to become an active testimony, demanding that reality be observed from its root.
