Adela Fernández Bravo

My name is Adela Fernández Bravo, ADAGARTA. I studied Fine Arts in Madrid looking for ways to give shape to my ideas. Through the plastic arts, I find the creative way to express feelings, concerns and reflections.
I have dedicated the last few years to personal projects. Existentially looking for my location, in the world and socially, being a woman and an artist. I rebel, against the established patterns of a society: capitalist, racist and hetero-patriarchal.
From a feminist point of view, and in defence of Human Rights, I try to tackle issues that promote and propose a new social system that is equitable and just.
Currently, by means of digital illustrations, through the project 'Woman on the wall', I try to make hidden or forgotten cultural references visible. With the intention of: vindicating their achievements and highlighting the need to recognise, equal opportunities and social rights.
Aesthetically, I try to be faithful to my own style, with references from different artistic and cultural movements, which inspire me to continue experimenting.
