Imagine you’re drawing the impression left by the soles of the shoes.

Then double that line, to build the shoes soles.

Step 3:
Next we construct the actual shoe.

Step 4:
Continue by adding thickness to the material, as well as other elements (all highlighted in red).

Step 5:
Now it's time for the shoelaces.
Follow the shoelace pattern shown, and adapt it on the shoes.

Step 6:
Add the final details like sewing marks, and edge to the lace holes, texture on the rubber etc.

As a final touch add shading.
