OUR OPPORTUNITY:

At Elkanodata we are looking for an experienced, award-winning Senior Front-End Developer to develop interactive projects and impactful interactive experiences. You’ll work on both award-winning projects and day to day client needs, hands-on or overseeing other front-end developers.

As the new Senior Front-End Developer, you’ll work alongside other in-house Front-End developers, Designers and Project Management teams to lead our agency to higher heights and deeper depths.

You’ll work closely with designers and creatives to develop top-quality interactive experiences, products and tools whilst coordinating with Project Managers to deliver projects on time and according to client’s expectations, standards and timings.

In addition to this, you’ll work on multiple projects simultaneously from initial briefing through to successful completion, you’ll do this independently hands-on or collaborating with other in-house developers and freelancers.

Occasionally, you’ll communicate and coordinate with external technical teams: clients and vendors and oversee the quality and technical standards of freelance developers, participate in QA processes and implement necessary changes to validate coding best practices and standards: code review, cross-browser compatibility and functionalities, etc. You'd also work through continuous integration and continuous deployment (Travis and BitBucket pipelines).

YOUR EXPERIENCE:
We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Front-End Developer in a digital or web development agency environment, who has won high quality and award-winning interactive projects.
- 2+ years’ experience managing a team of developers.
- Proven experience and portfolio managing top quality digital and interactive projects (please, share your portfolio of developed projects).
- Knowledge of Project Execution Methodologies (waterfall and agile) being able to propose process improvements and Project Management tools and tracking systems (Asana, Basecamp, Trello, Jira, etc.)
- Proven ability to juggle projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Multicultural background and excellent communication skills in English.

As the Senior Front-End Developer, you will have experience using the following technologies:

- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 (SASS)
- Have experience with task runners, in preference Webpack
- Have experience with JavaScript Frameworks, in preference Vue.js/Nuxt.js
- Have experience with Git source control
- Have experience with Sketch
- Knowledge with optimizing performance and browser compatibility
- Pixel perfect development
- Have experience with D3.js
- Have experience with Greensock libraries
- Have experience with Node.js
- Have experience with ES6, Babel, Webpack

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Senior Front-End Developer at Elkanodata you will:
- Work hands-on in both award-winning projects and day to day agency work.
- Collaborate with Designers, Project Managers and other developers to make sure that projects are delivered with the highest quality standards in a timely manner.
- Manage a team of 2 in-house developers and coordinate with external partners.
- Work alongside Business Development and Project Managers to estimate technical opportunities and provide time estimations.
- Solve problems through Code review, quality assurance, debugging and troubleshooting.
- Liaise with external technical teams, on the client side, third-party vendors, partners and freelance collaborators to oversee the quality and technical standards of projects.

- Have basic knowledge of databases such as MySQL, MongoDB
- Knowledge with WordPress and/or Drupal
- Have experience with ReactJS
- UX/UI or design background / skills.
- A keen interest in the design, data visualization, motion graphics, and digital sectors
