Elena Haschemi Schirazi

I was born and raised in Berlin, a creative, vibrant and multicultural city. Today I live in the beautiful little town Basel in Switzerland, with my boyfriend and our little sun. Since I am a mother, I realised that I want to work less on the computer, but do analog illustrations and work on children books.

After school I did drawing courses and applied at art schools, but did not get in. So I decided to study media sciences and art history. But I missed the practical arts and continued sketching for myself. After working as a copywriter, I started a Master in Visual communication and moved to Switzerland. Besides I got a job in the Jewish Museum of Switzerland, where I learned to work in the field of graphicdesign. I designed exibition posters, vernissage flyers and developed a Corporate Design. I also realised books, where I was responsable for the layout and the design concept.
