Macramé is a medium that has been around for centuries, yet we are still discovering new ways to modernize and elevate the knots. Through my work, I have been shaking up macramé traditions for years with my vertical clove hitch knot tapestries, choosing to explore an unprecedented style, and shaping an emergent fibre phenomenon. In my book, New School Macramé, I teach my ‘new school’ approach to creating contemporary knotted macramé canvases, using just a few easy knots, and now I am taking to video with Domestika to give you a new learning tool on your own fibre art journey.
